“Is the metaverse going to turn the law upside down?” For its 4th edition, the “Innovation Day” organized by the Lyon Bar (3,700 lawyers) is tackling a dizzying revolution that is looming: the metaverse, a virtual and persistent parallel universe allowing numerous interactions .

On the program of this seminar: practical challenges of the metaverse for the legal professions, what impacts on the profession of lawyer, the European legislative train, predictive justice and jurimetry, cybersecurity, blockchain, NFT, cryptocurrencies, smart contacts…

“The metaverse is a virtual world in which many problems will arise. We will find the same difficulties as in the real world, explains Vincent Durand. Lawyers must position themselves on NFTs, blockchains, cryptocurrencies because there is a legal and economic issue. There must be no legal loopholes.”
