After the announcement of the revocation of the right to abortion in the United States by the Supreme Court, tensions, waves of protest and demonstrations appeared throughout the country. A week later, the Americans are not giving up.
It has been almost a week since the Supreme Court of the United States definitively revoked the right to abortion. Now, the 50 states that make up the country are free to make their own decisions. In just a few days, eight have already banned abortion on their soil, while others should soon do the same.

It should be understood that these states used “trigger laws”, or “trigger laws” which were activated almost automatically when the Supreme Court rendered its decision. But a week later, the decision is still not digested and tensions and demonstrations continue throughout the country.
Americans don’t give up
As a counter-attack, complaints have been filed in the courts of states prohibiting abortion. In Louisiana, for example, a judge temporarily suspended laws banning abortion.

At the same time, dozens of demonstrations were organized in many states and in front of the Supreme Court. Thousands of demonstrators showed their anger, sometimes dressed in an outfit in reference to the series “The Handmaid’s Tale: The Scarlet Servant”, in which the rights of women are non-existent.
Some have already found solutions and do not hesitate to go to Mexico to obtain an abortion pill. According to FranceInfo “for three months, Americans have been three times more numerous in these Mexican pharmacies”. For sure, the fight has only just begun.
